Meet Lindsey, Welcome

Meet Lindsey

My name is Lindsey and I have partnered with my friend and fellow Army wife Anne to write about life here on Marching with Peonies and Passports! I am the army wifey of a super duper handsome, kind, and hard working second lieutenant. I met my hubs in eighth grade and he asked me to be his girl friend at band camp (hehe yes I know…..) the summer before our freshman year of high school. We have been together non-stop ever since! He is truly my best friend, and together we have been through high school, college, ROTC, three moves, engagement, marriage, one humanitarian deployment, one deployment to Afghanistan, and two fur babies!

I know, I know…..gag! Let’s move on from all that lovey dovey stuff! I graduated from Missouri State University in 2015 with my bachelors in Elementary Education and taught third grade for the last two years in a small rural district. I am also ALMOST done with my master in literacy! Woot woot! I love teaching, but I am excited about our next adventure…….drum roll, please……

In October 2017 we moved our house hold and two fur children across the world to Germany. Because of this move, I resigned from my teaching job over the summer and basically have a blank slate in front of me!

I am excited to spend time writing with my friend Anne here as well as pursuing some other crazy dreams I have!.. (Post about that later 😉

I hope you all enjoy marching through life with us here on Marching with Peonies and Passports!

  1. Hi! I realize this is sort of off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does running a well-established blog such as yours take a large amount of
work? I’m brand new to writing a blog however I do write in my diary
everyday. I’d like to start a blog so I will be able
to share my experience and feelings online. Please let me know if you have any kind of
suggestions or tips for brand new aspiring blog owners. Appreciate it!

    1. Hi there! Thanks for visiting! Yes, blogging does take up a good amount of time which is why I recommend doing it for fun to start! Don’t burn your self out! I would say my biggest advice is to focus on writing good content that you enjoy writing and then get the hang of promoting your blog so people out there actually read it! There are tons of great tips on starting your blog on Pinterest! also has a great post for new bloggers! Good luck my dear!- Lindsey
